John S. Marek loves to see people grow! He has been in the people development business for 40 years, primarily operating as a psychotherapist. He has been married for 41 years and has one born adult son, two born adult daughters, one chosen adult son, one chosen adult daughter and three grandsons.
He is a lifetime (so far) Texan, loves the outdoors, gets a kick out of watching his garden grow, is an avid sports fan (especially Baylor and the University of Texas), a golfer in training with the dream of one day shooting his age and sees fly fishing being part of his “to do” list this year.
He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. His professional career includes working as a Staff Psychologist in a community mental health center as well as a regional director with a national psychiatric clinic. The last 29 years John has been in solo practice. In recent years, John has been zealous about guiding others as a life coach to discover his or her unique design and resultant joy for living.
